Hello, mates. Here is a retrospective of how my scale modelling began few tears ago with my first ever diorama of garage. Now i see how simple it was but back in time i was very happy to make it.
Everyone konnichiwa,
I was inspired by other projects and decided to make a garage in a 1/43 scale for my collection. This project was my first attempt, and as a result, I gained a lot of experience and encountered some challenges.
For the materials, I used 5mm foamboard for the walls, floors, and roofs. I used 3mm wood for the office walls and the second floor. Wire was used for railings, and paper and cardboard were used for interior details. I also used ice tape, primer, and spray model paint.
The walls inside were painted with embossed wallpaper, and I carved wood-effect window frames from the walls. The staircase to the second floor was made of 1mm PVC plastic, and epoxy glue was used for scraping. To ensure strength and portability, I attached the walls with thin nails.
I made a vase for the “Christmas tree” using polymer clay. The concrete floor was made from the same material as the walls (foamboard) and was painted. I created joints using a ruler, a thin screwdriver, and a black liner.
The glass was made from transparent plastic, which was packaging from a cake.
The brick walls of the office were created using a ruler and a thin screwdriver. I pressed all the bricks horizontally and then vertically. It was quite a tedious process, but after painting, it turned out to be worth it.
The only thing I didn’t make myself was the “GMP” car lift, which I bought on eBay. It’s an awesome lift that moves up and down. I had to make special holes in the “concrete” floor for its installation.
As for the obvious shortcomings and plans for the future, I need to make a garage with modular walls for more flexible photography. I also want to add entrance gates and work on the windows a bit more.
Here are some pictures of the garage. For the debut photos, I used a 1/43 scale model of my Legacy B4, as well as a modified version of Legacy BM for Tokyo Police patrol and a version for the Super GT300 series.
PS: I also included boxes with Torretto’s workshop logo and Racer’s Edge tuners shop xD.
