In 1993, a one-off supercar bearing the Bizzarrini name was built in California. Using a Ferrari Testarossa as a base and the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Spyder as inspiration, the BZ 2001 was commissioned from Giotto Bizzarrini by the American car designer Barry Watkins. A limited series production run was planned but only the prototype car, featuring carbon fibre bodywork and bespoke running gear, was built. (bizzarrini official web)
The model resin kit produced by Alezan and still can be purchased on their official (i guess so) ebay.
It was my first completed 1/43 kit model, so it’s far from perfect. Paint job took me two attempts. As you can see, i have not painted window frame black, but red as on final irl Bizzarrini. And of course you will be probably insulted by rims. Thing is i did not like Alezan rims and wheels. And now waiting for delivery of new proper rims. For now i put some two different pairs of wheels that can bu ugly, or interesting. matter of taste. Don’t throw tomattoes, please.
I like this car body shape and it’s widy size…like basically all in this car, but coupe would be even cooler, i think.
Thank to Alezan for making such a unique voiture in best 1/43 scale!
Won’t write much how i did assembled it, i doubt someone read the blog anyway.
