Good afternoon.
I would like to share with you some photos of the experimental pitlane diorama that I have been working on for quite some time, along with a thematic photoset. This is dedicated to JGTC fans and is in 1/43 scale.
Initially, I thought of it as an intermediate version. I thought, let’s do it this way for now, and if it works, I’ll continue and improve it. Ideally, I wanted to have a second floor above the pits and a straight start-finish line parallel to the pit lane. However, to be honest, while I am somewhat happy with the result, I’m not sure if I will continue with it. But let’s start from the beginning.
There are five pit boxes, which is the maximum that fits on the base sheet. The first two boxes are made in one, as they were initially designed for a team with two cars, specifically the Taisan team (pictured). The roller shutters in the front and back can be folded and put forward along U-shaped plastic rails. However, this time I didn’t play around with them much. There was an idea to open the back, but again, that would require creating a background. Of course, I could have used a photoshopped background, but maybe next time. Furthermore, each box has its own changeable decor to match the team. The furniture, such as cabinets and tables, was purchased, except for a few pieces. The lighting in all boxes is powered via USB. As for the asphalt, it is made of sand paper as usually . It took a lot of time and patience to get everything done. The most tedious part was cutting out the same shapes and details (floors, walls).
As for the models, I am a fan of the All-Japan GT Championship, especially in the early stages. Here, I have collected four cars from the 1994 (first) year of the championship. They are as follows:
1. Taisan Team Porsche 962C
(an old prototype of group C, which was topped with 300 kg of ballast to equalize forces). This car won the Fuji Speedway Stage 3.
2. The Taisan Team Ferrari F40
originally an all-road car that underwent a practical evolutionary path from 1994 to the end of 1995 in this team. It won the 5th stage on the Mine circuit.
3. JLOC Lamborghini Countach
a complete outsider but a favorite among the public.
4. Calsonic Skyline GT R32
the winner of the first stage at Fuji and the 1994 championship. This model was the hardest to find.

Porsche 996 in the Yukos
The fifth box didn’t want to be left empty, so it was a difficult choice deciding what to take a picture of. I eventually decided to use a Porsche 996 in the Yukos livery from the Daytona stage 24 years ago.
It’s a personal favorite, bringing back pleasant memories from the old FIA GTR2 simulator. That’s why I included it here…
Additionally, in the pictures, you can see the GT-R R34 branded from Gran Turismo 4.
In general, there are potential plans to complete the JGTC 1994 collection in the GT500 class with a couple more Skylines in different liveries.

To be continued…
