Hello everyone.
It’s time to publish the first results of a creative photograph of a scale model on a newly assembled Temple diorama, which I described in an earlier post.
Today’s featured star is Spark’s Yamaha OX99-11 painted in red. Quite rare. The car itself is still a unicorn. There was a time when Yamaha supplied F1 engines to customers, and the 90s were the peak and twilight of some of the most incredible supercars. This is what happened with OX99-11. The deforced V10 99-11 3.5 L engine is installed in the middle, 2 seats, the rear part recalls the Mc F1, which was released in the same 1992.
The incredible front-end recalls some of the aero package configurations of some Group C cars from the 80s but in a more streamlined bio design.
However, lack of funding and early infantile illnesses of the Yamaha OX00-11, of which only 3 were produced, put the project on forever hold. On the technical side, the chassis and aerodynamics were not perfected. Nevertheless, this is another masterpiece of automotive design and engineering.
In 2012, one of the prototypes was auctioned for $1.2 million.
