This Porsche 996 Turbo, commonly known by its fans as ‘Turbinchen‘, is a custom racecar built by Alzen Motorsport solely for the VLN championship at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Constantly being developed during its time of operation (2003 to 2005) this car combined the chassis of a normal street car 996 Turbo with a 911 GT1 derived 3.6 twin-turbo engine, a GT1 inspired race body kit from DP Motorsports, state-of-the-art aerodynamics and finally a custom 911 Turbo derived AWD system for the 2005 season.
Beating even factory DTM teams from Opel and Audi by 10 seconds around the ‘Ring during qualification, only its equally as monstrous fuel consumption and reliability issues prevented this car from ever outright winning the 24-hour race.
This 2005 version offers less power than the previous Alzen Turbo, but better means of bringing it to the ground. Rear-biased AWD through custom Drexler differentials, optimized aero of the DP Motorsport body shell, and Bosch Motorsport traction control.
600 hp, 800 Nm, 1325 kg
This beautiful model was produced under the Spark trademark. The model is considered to be very rare. I hope you like the photos I made recently.
I love this hot rear end of the hell of a ride.
